In less than a month we will be leaving our cold, snowy province for a much warmer and nice place...Aiken, South Carolina. I still cannot believe how lucky I am to be spending the winter there, and I am so so so grateful to the wonderful people who are bringing me with them. Guys, you're the best <3.
I am unbelievably excited for 2011! Here are my Eventing Goals for the upcoming year:
- Have our first double-clear XC in prelim
- Get a 30 or under at least once in dressage
- Clear showjumping, always (it's our strong point)
- Qualify for Bromont CCI* in June
- If all goes well, move up to Intermediate late July/August.
Fingers crossed!!!

Here it is!
Because everyone seems to be big on blogging these days, I decided to jump right in and create my own blog about my passion: Eventing!
Why team O & H ? For team Olivia & Harvey!
My name is Olivia, I am a 19, going on 20, girl from Bromont, Quebec, Canada. I've been horseback riding since the tender age of 8 and did a bit of everything - hunter, jumper, dressage - before finding my true calling: eventing. On December 23, 2008, my little girl dreams all came true and I got my dream horse, Harvey. A completely black Appendix Quarter Horse born on March 28, 2001 (that makes him 9), he stands at 16.2. He is the most easy-going, loving and fun guy as well as being one of the most talented jumper I ever had the chance to sit on. He is also steady, quiet and flashy in dressage and is getting braver and braver in cross-country, which makes him a great eventer.
After winning our Jr. Training season in Quebec in 2009, we moved up to Preliminary in 2010. It was a bit of a sketchy season, with tons of ups and downs, but we definitely learned a lot and came out of it a lot stronger. I can definitely say I am more in love with this horse than ever <3
This winter, Harv & I will be spending the winter in Aiken, South Carolina, competing at the Preliminary level, in the hopes to qualify for the CCI* in Bromont in June. My ultimate goal is for us to represent Canada at the NAJYRC in 2012, at the CCI** level (I'm too old to do the 1-star). After that, who knows ;)
So here it is, the adventures of Olivia & Harvey, hopeful eventers!
